Esther Endacott was born in 1865, the daughter of James Hooper Endacott and Sarah Ann McLean. She was born at Merrendee, New South Wales.
Octavius and Esther married on 22 December 1888, at a church near the intersection of Pitt and George Streets, Sydney (these streets are parallel for most of their length but merge near Railway Square).

Octavius died in 1919 and Esther in 1942. Esther is buried in Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney in the Anglican section, area DD, lot 774, next to the grave of her father.
