Mary M. (May) Bergin was born 7 April 1891, the daughter of John Bergin and Margaret Lavelle.
She married John Joseph McGrath, also a policeman, from Co. Sligo on 12th Feb 1919.
John McGrath died on 1 November 1970.
May McGrath died on 21 October 1971.

- Paddy, who still lives in the same Galway house once occupied by his grandparents, John and Margaret Bergin.
