Emily Carroll
Little is known of Emily. It is possible that she is the same person as Emily A.W. Carroll born 1856 to mother Margaret (father unknown) in the Mudgee district (NSW birth registration 5964/1856). Her married name was Williams. It is not known how many children she had.
On 3 November 1897 her 16-year-old daughter Sarah Jane Williams, married William Farmer McLean, in her home in Merrendee, New South Wales. As her daughter was under age 21 and her husband was apparently deceased, Emily was required to give consent to the marriage.
