Located adjacent to the village of Palatine, and close to Urglin/Rutland, this was the site of entrance gates to the Burton Hall estate. The long driveway is now a public road and the only substantial building that remains can be seen at the end of the roadway. Jane Murphy's sister Mary and brother-in-law Richard Prendergast were live-in employees on the estate.

Proceeding along the road that was once the entrance drive to Burton Hall.
It is not known where Jane Murphy was employed, but it is probable that she journeyed over this road on some occasions. The house at the top of the drive way was a second residence while the buildings to the left are the former servants quarters. The main Burton Hall building was located behind these buildings where now only trees can be seen.
