William Endacott
William was the son John Endacott and Mary Napper. William was born on 12 January 1800 and baptised nine days later. The record of his baptism is found in the Presbyterian registers of the Bow Meeting House in Exeter (Ref: RG4 336) and is number 1032 in the register. There were older children in the family and it appears William was given the same name as an older brother who must have died in infancy. The desire to preserve this name in the family suggests that it may have had special significance in the family.
William married Mary Endacott on 24 July 1821 (her maiden name was also Endacott). William and Mary were parents of several children. More information is provided on the separate page about Mary.
William was just 37 years old when he died on 29 January 1837. He was buried at St Sidwell in Exeter.
