Mary Wells
Details of Mary's birth are not known.
On 25 December 1818 she married Thomas Studds at Kingsdown, near Sevenoaks, Kent. The witnesses were John Morris and Ann Wells. Thomas and Mary were described as "sojourners" which is interpreted to mean that they were not residents of the area.
The children of the marriage are thought to have been :
- Edward Studds : baptised 26th February 1819 at Sevenoaks, Kent.
- Thomas Studds : born at Bath, Somerset, precise date unknown. He said he was 32 at the time of the 1851 census taken on the night of 30-31 March suggesting his birth year as 1819 or 1820. It is possible that Edward and Thomas were twins.
- Mary Ann Studds date and place of birth unknown; married in 1859
- George Studds was born around 1827 (St George's, Hanover Square) and died before April 1868.
- Louise Studds was born 13 February 1828 (St George's) and baptised 5 July at the parish church.

- William Studds was born around 1834 at St George, (probably Hanover Square); he was baptised on 20 February 1838 (with sister Caroline).
- Caroline Studds was baptised on 20 February 1838 at St Mary, Marylebone. She was born around 1836 or 1837 as she was age 5 in 1841.
- Robert Studds was born at Marylebone around 1838.
- Joseph Studds was born 7 March 1841 at 23 Weymouth St, Marylebone.
