Laurence Murphy
Husband of Anne Bergan. Number of children unknown but included at least Mary (born approximately 1805) and Jane (born approximately 1816).
As their children said they came from County Carlow in Ireland, it is probable that that is where Laurence and his wife lived. Their daughter Jane told her family that she was descended from the Langton family of Kilkenny. Jane Murphy conveyed the message to her children that the link with the Langton family was important to her.
Laurence's occupation was tailor. Nothing else is known of him.
