James MacIntosh
Details of James' birth and death are unknown.
It has been reported that James had married Barbara Harding.
On the marriage certificate of his daughter, Janet MacIntosh who married in 1826, James MacIntosh was described as deceased, having formerly been a "maltman" and residing in the parish of West Church in Perth, Scotland. It is interesting to ponder the nature of the work done by a "maltman" in Scotland in the first half of the 19th century - probably involved in manufacture of scotch whisky or other alcoholic drink.
