Barbara Leggatt (or Leggett)
Born 17 July 1858, or possibly 1857. According to her death certificate, Barbara Leggatt was born at Galli-Gilli, Merriwa, New South Wales. She was the daughter of Ephraim Leggatt, an overseer, and Barbara Simpson.
She married Richard Henry Endacott in 1884 (marriage registration no. 5867) at Hargraves, NSW.
The children of the marriage were :

Barbara Endacott (nee Leggatt) died in the Mudgee District Hospital on 6th August 1941, age 84 years. She is buried in the Church of England Cemetery in Mudgee.

MRS BARBARA ENDACOTT
Another of our oldest and most esteemed residents passed away in Mudgee District Hospital on Wednesday last. We refer to Mrs Barbara Endacott, 84, whose death was reported in the 'Mail'. She took ill suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, and died soon after admission to the hospital.
The deceased lady, who had a large number of friends, had been a resident of this district nearly all her life. For many years she resided at Yarrabin, where all her children were born, but for the past number of years she had been living at Spring Flat.
Deceased was a splendid old lady and was greatly beloved and esteemed by the people of Yarrabin and Spring Flat for her many good and kind actions.
Besides her sorrowing husband, Mr Richard Endacott, of Spring Flat, she is survived by the following sons and daughters, the sons being Lieutenant George Endacott of the military forces, Coogee, John, seargeant of police, Parramatta, Herbert, Cardiff, and James Henry and Arthur, all of Spring Flat. The daughters are Mrs William Bratby (Granville) and Miss Gladys Endacott (Spring Flat).
Deceased was born at Merriwa, being, before her marriage, Miss Barbara Leggatt .
The late Mrs Jones, wife of the late Mr Robert Jones, former M.L.A. of Mudgee, was a sister of the deceased, whilst Mrs James Endacott, of Yarrabin, is a step sister.
The funeral took place on Friday morning from St. John's Church of England.
The Rev. A. G. Powell conducted the services at the church and at the graveside. Mr Harold Barton had charge of funeral arrangements.
